Photography for microstocks is a very exciting activity, really interesting and exciting. But if you are taking your first steps in this area, small difficulties can cloud all the joy of creativity. One such challenge is attributing a photograph. It is not clear where to do it, what to write, how best to choose the words - and without this the photo will not be accepted.
Let's try to figure it out. Attributing a photo (as well as an illustration, or video file, audio or logo - the principles remain the same) is the assignment of a name and description to files, as well as keywords. The easiest way to do this is immediately when processing photos, in the editor. You need to sign works in English, but don't let that scare you - if your knowledge of English is "not very good", translator programs will come to the rescue. There are also online services that can make the task of the photographer much easier.
So, for most photo stocks, you need to add to the photo:
1) Title. Write what is depicted in your work - briefly and as informative as possible. Fewer epithets and beautiful phrases, more specifics. For example, you should not caption a photo "Early breakfast in the office" if there is no office or time indicator at work itself. Better to write this: "White cup of coffee, cookies and an open diary on a gray surface." It is best to write your title so that it includes several keywords.
· Describe the photo by specifying everything that is depicted on it. Objects, people, the idea that you wanted to express, emotions, what accompanies the situation.
· On the other hand, do not use words that do not relate to the situation in any way. There is no need to write "Christmas" on a photo with a cup of coffee if there is nothing related to this topic in the photo. Buyers looking for Christmas photos will not choose a job, but the search engine can throw it away. Of course, for certain we do not represent the system of work of the algorithm for issuing work - but why take the risk?
As you can see, everything is very simple. Take the time to attribute your work - and buyers will definitely find and appreciate it.
