Finding a suitable T-shirt in a store would seem like it could be easier. But as luck would have it, then the shade is not the same, then the inscription on the T-shirt is not pleasant. You can fix the flaws of a T-shirt and bring it to perfection at home.
Instructions
Step 1
Make a fabric applique. It can be one-color, one-piece or made from pieces of material of the most varied texture and color. Sketch the applique on the pattern paper. If your drawing consists of several fragments, you need to make a pattern for each of them.
Step 2
Transfer the designs to the fabric. If it crumbles, add 5mm around the hem for the hem. You can also protect the edges of the applique and additionally decorate it with a bias tape or satin ribbon. Lay it along the edge of the applique, bend half the width to the wrong side of the design. Baste the tape by hand, then machine stitch. After that, attach all the details of the appliqué to the T-shirt.
Step 3
You will be able to save time with thermoapplication. Buy a finished picture. It must be accompanied by instructions for use. As a rule, this decor is transferred to the fabric using an iron. Attach the picture to your T-shirt. Place a thick cloth under it. Press down on the applique with an iron from above through a sheet of paper and hold it for about 20 seconds. If the picture is not fixed, repeat the procedure.
Step 4
For a simple monochrome design, make a stencil. Apply the picture to a sheet of thick cardboard. Cut out those parts of it that should be filled with color. Cover the T-shirt with plastic, cutting out a hole for the picture. Place cardboard or plastic under the fabric to be dyed to prevent the dye from seeping onto the back of the T-shirt. Place the stencil on the fabric covered with foil, secure with tape. Fill in the drawing with spray paint. Remove all protective coatings only after the paint has dried.
Step 5
You can use batik paints to paint a T-shirt in a more relaxed manner. Pull the part that you will paint over the hoop, protect the rest of the fabric with a film. To make an abstract picture, paint on a surface wetted with water. Several shades will blend on wet material, leaving beautiful streaks. Spread the color over a dry cloth for a crisp design. To prevent the paint from spreading, circle all the fragments of the drawing with a reserve for batik. Fix the finished picture in accordance with the instructions for the paint. Usually an iron is used for this.
