Since ancient times, the search for coins was considered one of the types of search for treasure. More often it happens that some search activities lead only to a result in a few moments. Such a search can hardly be called treasure hunting. From the first appearance of coins in the hands of a person, they have become a certain part of a person. Today it is difficult to imagine the existence of commodity-money relations without the presence of coins in them. The very first coins were … wheels. It was from the wheels, which have the shape of a circle, and in the middle there was a square, that served as the beginning of the era of monetization of mankind.

Step 1
The wheels were made of stone, so the first coins were originally made of stone. After a while, the man, having passed through the thickness of the eras, could not say goodbye to the coins. It would seem that paper money came to replace, but a change was needed in the same way as before. In the modern world, both collectors and treasure hunters are looking for coins. And the search areas for coins are always different: reservoirs, land, old houses, wells, ravines, beaches and even fountains.
Step 2
Coins can be anywhere, for example, during the construction of a small house or some kind of structure, valuable "spots" could be: at the joints of logs, in the corners of the foundation, mounted under the floor covering. Therefore, when inspecting a house, inspect literally every centimeter of this area. There was a case when silver coins of the ruler Nicholas II were found between the logs of a massive log house.
Step 3
In addition to coins that were specially hidden, you can also find coins that are called "lost". From the name it becomes clear that these coins can be anywhere, even in the most conspicuous place, for example, between the floorboards of the house. There is a known fact of searching for coins directly in a Russian stove, which has not been used for a long time. The result of this search shocked the entire expedition: coins were also found there.
Step 4
Throughout the history of numismatics, the search for coins was carried out in different ways. The most widespread method was "dowsing". This was a kind of definition of the magnetic component of the desired object. With the help of dowsing, like a metal detector, they determined the location of metals that had magnetic properties. In order to find coins in this way, you need to arm yourself with two metal wires, which the treasure hunters bend in the shape of the letter "G". The smaller sides of these wires were taken in hand, and the long sides were directed forward. As soon as the source of the magnetic background got closer, both wires quickly closed.
Step 5
There are also known cases of searching for coins by dowsing. This phenomenon has not yet been 100% studied and therefore raises doubts. The meaning of this method is as follows: the coin seeker takes a small vine in his hand and mentally imagines that he will now find any coin. In the place where the coin is supposed to be located, the vine will gradually begin to deviate. This method is less practical than searching with a metal detector.
