Needlewomen who use decoupage in their work may face the problem of printing the necessary picture from the computer onto a napkin. The necessary fragment of the decor was found on the Internet, or you captured it while photographing, but wanted to transfer the image to the object. Use a home printer, follow a few conditions, and the result will please you.

- - napkins;
- - inkjet or laser printer;
- - PVA glue.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a pack of these white napkins that have the smoothest possible surface. You can use white backing from colored napkins. Then divide the two- or three-layer napkin into separate pieces. Set the pattern layer aside, for further work you will only need white.
Step 2
Get rid of any fold marks on the napkin. Iron it with a non-steam iron to get the smoothest possible surface. There is no need to get rid of folds at all. In the future, when gluing a napkin with a picture on the product, the folds will finally be smoothed out. Cut off the textured edges with scissors.
Step 3
Attach the prepared material to white printer paper. It is very important to observe some indentation of the napkin from the edge of the sheet. The roll of the printer must first pick up the paper, otherwise the napkin may jam, and the printer will have to be cleaned later. The indent is different for different printer models. Before you figure it out empirically, place the napkin at a distance of 4 to 7 cm.
Step 4
At a distance of indentation, apply a thin strip of PVA glue to a sheet of paper across the entire width. Place the edge of the napkin and press on top with a ruler. The thin workpiece should be evenly glued, there should be no folds or bulges on it. Align the napkin on the sheet and glue on the opposite side in the same way. Trim any excess around the edges of the paper.
Step 5
The napkin can be fixed in another way. Put it on a piece of paper, retreating the required distance from the beginning, and glue it along the entire width with a strip of paper tape. Experimentally find out whether you need to glue the opposite end of the napkin.
Step 6
Format the selected picture for printing on the computer. It should fit on a napkin, taking into account its location on a sheet of paper.
Step 7
Insert the paper and tissue into the printer with the indented side going first. When you get the desired result, to prevent the colored ink from accidentally smudging, spray the drawing with hairspray. And when carrying out decoupage, use a non-water-based varnish.
