Bright colored candy wrappers are a wonderful craft material, especially if there are children in the house. Colorful wrappers can be given a second life, turning them into original gizmos, and the whole family can spend time in creative gatherings.
Butterfly made of candy wrappers
For this job, shiny candy wrappers are best. You will also need plasticine and a thin wire. Give your child a piece of brown or black plasticine so that he rolls a sausage in his palms, which will be the body of a butterfly. From a mass of a different color, you need to make two balls and flatten them a little. These will be the eyes. Using round nose pliers, twist two pieces of thin wire, making the antennae for the insect. Stick them into the butterfly's head.
Smooth out four shiny candy wrappers. Use small scissors to round the corners of the candy wrappers. Then twist one edge of each shiny piece. You should have two large and two small wings. Adjust the size of the wings while tightening the wrapper.
Fold the butterfly wings on a piece of paper. Glue the plasticine body on top. Fix the structure from below with another small piece of plasticine.
Having made several butterflies, the child will be able to use them as a volumetric decor for a child's photo frame.
Angel from candy wrappers
This original angel can decorate a Christmas tree. To create it, you need beautiful candy wrappers, thin wire and a large bead. Take two candy wrappers of different sizes or cut one of the same candy wrappers around the edges.
Fold them along the long side into an accordion. Bend each accordion in the middle. Place two blanks side by side, align their bent centers. Use a thin wire to hold them together in this state. Leave the tails of wire on top of the small wrapper.
Thread the remaining wire through the bead. You have the head of an angel. Twist the tails of the wire into a loop. For her, your craft can be hung on a Christmas tree.
Additionally, you can decorate the bead by gluing more small beads to it, or paint it with acrylic paint, or apply a pattern with a contour.
Bend and straighten the lower accordion. Glue its two parts in the center. Just spread the top accordion on each side.
Flower bouquet of candy wrappers
A small gift bouquet can be made using candy wrappers and candies. First, make blanks on wooden skewers. It is best to use a candy with one curled ponytail. Spread it out and apply a narrow strip of double-sided tape. Attach a skewer and wrap a candy tail around it. Secure the top with another narrow strip of double-sided tape.
Fold bright beautiful candy wrappers in half and cut off the two upper corners. You should end up with a semicircle. Punch a hole in the lower center in the center. Make several of these blanks. Use scissors to turn the rest of the candy wrappers into circles. Punch holes in the center of each.
Collect flowers. Pass the skewer first through the holes of the semicircles, evenly distributing them around the circumference, then through the circles of candy wrappers. Secure the structure from below and along the entire length of the skewer with green tape.
Put a piece of styrofoam in a gift basket, stick the flowers you receive into it. Decorate the free space with festive wrapping paper.
