Modern women wear beads with no less pleasure than their great-grandmothers. You can make such a decoration from a variety of materials. Beads have one serious drawback: the thread can break at the most inopportune moment. It is not at all necessary that after such a nuisance the beads remain lying in the box. You can even make something new out of them, if you get tired of the old beads.

It is necessary

  • - old beads;
  • - fishing line;
  • - nylon or cotton threads;
  • - a needle;
  • - nail polish;
  • - knife;
  • - apparatus for burning.

Instructions

Step 1

If you really liked the torn beads and would not like to change their shape, take a new thread and reassemble the beads in the same order as before. Use strong threads. Nylon will do in any case, but try to break the cotton first. Use it only if it requires a lot of force to break.

Step 2

Beads with large enough holes can be strung with the most common sewing needle. This method is applicable if you have good eyesight, precise hand movements and you are not afraid to scratch the material. The thread in this case can be double or even folded four times. In all other situations, dip the end of the thread in nail polish and wait for the droplet to dry. It will play the role of a needle, but nothing will hurt. The thread should be slightly longer than the intended beads, because the ends need to be held together. Cut off the excess after the end of the work.

Step 3

String the beads without a lock in any order. Insert the end of the string into the first bead and pull it almost to the other end, leaving a small section. Put on all the other beads. Tie the ends of the cotton thread with a double or even triple knot. Cut the remaining pieces almost to the very knot, leaving the tips of 1-2 mm. Solder the ends of the synthetic thread or fishing line. This can be done with a very hot thin knife. It is also convenient to use a burning needle. Solder very carefully so as not to burn the thread or damage the beads.

Step 4

To override a clasp bead, first attach any half of the clasp to the end of the string. It is most convenient to do this with a needle and cotton thread, since the lock must be properly secured. Place the beads, sew the second half of the clasp to the second end.

Step 5

Having found several different types of beads in the box, compose a composition from them. Not very intricate patterns for beading are suitable. You can make an interesting decoration without any schemes. Cut off some strands. For example, there may be two or three of them. For beads without a clasp, thread them into one bead first. Then divide and shape first one thread, then another. At the end of the work, thread the threads again through one bead. Tie or solder the ends of the thread.
