Ropes are one of the types of braided products obtained by twisting individual strands into a single strand, and strands into a rope. This type of twisting allows you to achieve the strength of the product, increase its wear resistance, resistance to various external factors. All this makes ropes indispensable for hunters, sailors and many other people.

Instructions

Step 1

Ropes are used both on the farm and in production. By the type of material of manufacture, ropes are made from natural fibers, from synthetic fibers and steel. Natural fiber ropes are made not only from cotton, but also from hemp, jute, flax, sisal. Such ropes are not only very tear-resistant, but also natural, resistant to sunlight and temperature extremes. Therefore, they are used in fishing, in interior decoration, in construction.

Step 2

To make the simplest rope at home, you will need a small locksmith's vice, cotton fibers (you can take ordinary threads), several large nails, and a hand drill.

Secure a large nail in a locksmith's vice.

Step 3

Tie the end of the thread on it. Measure the required length of the threads by throwing them over the fixed nail.

Attach the opposite end of the bundle of threads to another nail. Attach the nail to the drill head. Rotating the handle of the drill, twist the bundle of threads to the right. Try to twist the handle of the drill as evenly as possible. The quality of your rope depends on it.

Step 4

Secure the resulting strand on both sides with thread windings, set aside. Make a few more strands in the same way. Tie the strands into a bun, fasten them to a nail in a locksmith. Reattach the other end of the bundle to the nail in the drill.

Step 5

Now rotate the drill so that your rope twists to the left. This is done so that it does not unwind. Secure the ends of the rope with a string or bundle of threads.
