Helen Zapashnaya (Raikhlin) was born in the Holy Land in the city of Haifa. She grew up in a very close-knit family in which everyone tried to adhere to certain traditions. After graduating from school, Helen went to the medical institute in Minsk. The fateful meeting with the circus artist took place in Minsk. Helen and her friend came to the show, and the next day a mutual friend Andrei called and said that Askold Zapashny was asking for her phone number. The girl did not even remember him, so she did not want to give her phone number for a long time. Later, she gave up and thanks to Askold's persistence, she nevertheless agreed to go on a date with him.
The circus artist simply conquered her with his easy character and attention. He courted very beautifully. Helen broke up with the guy she was dating at the time. But the young people had to face some difficulties. Their relatives were categorically against this relationship. Askold's parents believed that he should marry a circus artist so that there would be no conflicts in the family because of his tour. Mom and Dad Helen would like to see a person of their nationality in the role of their daughter's fiancé. In addition, they feared that their daughter would drop out of medical school. Askold recalls that even his brother Edgard did not support him in his desire to marry his beloved girlfriend.
The young people played the wedding in secret. They did not arrange a magnificent celebration, but they celebrated in a narrow family circle. Helen recalls that Askold's mother did not come to the wedding, because she was on tour, and her mother dissuaded from this step to the last. Family relations warmed up only after a few years.
Birth of daughters
In a marriage with Askold Zapashny, Helen had two daughters. The spouses admit that the birth of children has become the main events in their lives. Eve was born first. Askold gave the name to the girl. Eve is a beautiful Hebrew name. The second daughter was born a year later. They named her Elsa. Helen's mother was strongly against this name and urged her daughter not to deviate from family traditions, but Zapashny insisted on their own.
Helen says that girls are very different. Eve is more active, lively, spontaneous. She looks like a mom in her youth. Elsa is a copy of the star dad. She is more modest, gentle, brooding. The girls play together with pleasure, attend clubs, play music, dance. They went to the same kindergarten group and their parents planned to send them to the same class at school. But before the enrollment, the opinion changed. The teachers convinced Helen that Eve was already ready for school, and her sister had better wait another year.
Girls study in the most ordinary general educational institution. The Zapashny brothers studied at this school and their teachers remember them very well. Helen admits that she misses her family a lot and they even considered the option of sending their children to an Israeli school, but then abandoned this idea. Still, they spend most of their time in Russia. Askolkd often goes on tour, so the spouses do not see each other for a long time, but the children have grown up, so it became easier to accompany the star dad on trips when there is such an opportunity.
Helen does not regret sacrificing her career for her husband. She made this decision and knew who she was marrying, so she believes that she has no right to complain. Now her task is to make all family members comfortable, so that Askold would be happy to rush home from the tour. When they go on tour all together, they have to carry all their things and even furniture, but family members are already used to such a nomadic life.

Helen and Askold have slightly different ideas about parenting. On this basis, the spouses have disagreements. Helen often pampers girls, and her husband believes that this is wrong and a different approach is needed.
Eva and Elsa spend a lot of time in the circus. They have their own performances in which they take part with their dad. But all workouts are age appropriate. In the circus, this is very strict. Helen admits that it was scary to let her daughters go on stage for the first time, but then this fear went away. Askold is very demanding at rehearsals. He understands that girls, due to their age, cannot fulfill all the ideas of the directors, but he wants his daughters to hear him. So far, they have only theatrical roles, and a little later he plans to entrust them with the training of small animals. Helen and Askold are against the idea of their daughters training large predators, as they believe that this is not a woman's work at all. But at the same time, they want their daughters to become the successors of the Zapashny circus dynasty. To do this, they instill in them a love of the circus.
Helen does not want to think about the future, speaks with caution about her plans. But in an interview, she admitted that she and her husband would like to give birth to a son as well. For Askold, this is important, since the boys in their family are considered the successors of the circus dynasty.
Career and social life
Helen had to sacrifice her career for her family. Entering the institute, she dreamed of becoming a surgeon or choosing some other serious specialization. But after meeting with Askold, Helen realized that she would not be able to devote much time to medicine. Her parents are doctors and there are memories from childhood when her mother left her to a nanny, disappearing at work. Helen wanted a little different things for her children.
The wife of Askold Zapashny admits that she does not want to completely put an end to her career. When the girls grew up, she underwent retraining, received a diploma in cosmetologist and from time to time leads receptions in Moscow. Helen is a dermatologist-cosmetologist. But there is still no way to seriously deal with this. Helen plans to continue her education and take place professionally in the future. She is often asked about working in a circus. She could perform in a troupe with her famous husband. But Helen has her own opinion on this matter. She did not want to use connections and perform in already staged numbers, going on stage with professional artists only because she successfully married Zapashny. It takes years of training to show really serious results.
Helen would like to open a large cosmetic clinic not only in Moscow, but also in her homeland in Israel. There is always a demand for these services, but Zapashny's wife is a perfectionist.
