The art of origami gives you a lot of opportunities to show your imagination - from a simple sheet of paper you can fold a flower, a postcard, a box, an envelope, animals, insects, a car, an airplane, a bird, and even human household items. The scope of the art of paper folding is almost limitless, and you can come up with more and more new paper models, as well as creatively reinterpreting old ones, perfecting craftsmanship on recognized and famous paper figurines. Popular origami shapes include the paper mouse, which can be folded quickly and effortlessly.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a square of gray paper with a white back. Bend the square first one at a time, then along the second diagonal. Then fold the square in half twice. Four lines crossed in the center are formed on the square. Fold the sheet into a basic double square shape, folding it at the same time along all the outlined lines.
Step 2
Position the double square so that the drop-down is at the bottom and the closed corner is at the top. Bend the top corner to the center line of the square, and then unfold it.
Step 3
Along the outlined lines, gently bend the top corner inward, opening the figure slightly, and then returning it to its original position and shape.
Step 4
For the resulting shape, fold the front bottom corner up the center line. Fold the back corner up along the center line.
Step 5
At the triangles bent upwards, sketch out several lines-bisectors of all corners, aligning the edges of the sides lying next to each other.
Step 6
Bend the top triangles along the created lines so that a small triangle looks down at the folded part. Fold the triangle over the three bisectors of each corner, and then do the same at the back.
Step 7
Find the center of the top edge of the shape, and draw a fold line from that point parallel to the right sloped side. Bend the shape along this line from the front and then from the back.
Step 8
Bend the two lower triangles outward at a right angle. In the right outwardly curved triangle, fold away from you along the center line extending from the bottom vertex and perpendicular to the top border of the triangle.
Step 9
Then bend the triangle toward you at a slight angle from the straight fold to create a zipper fold in both the front and back of the shape.
Step 10
In the left triangle, fold the paper back and forth, and then fold the sharp corner of the triangle forward to form the mouse's face. Tuck the right side of the figure inward, and also bend the protruding triangle inward. Fold the bottom edge of the shape to form the legs.
Step 11
Bend the parts of the future muzzle towards you in front and behind so that the fold line coincides with the angle. Fold in the triangles that protrude beyond the legs. Bend the tail outward, bending it down to a thinner one.
Step 12
Fold the ear triangles forward and open them like pockets. Fold in part of the muzzle, and then fold back the triangles at the tips of the ears in the front and back for volume. The sitting mouse is ready.
