Choosing the right frame size is one of the most important buying criteria. This parameter is closely related to the type of bike, riding style, speed, comfort and personal preference. In specialized stores, it is best to rely on sales assistants who are trained in this matter, but you also need to have the information in order to avoid deception and inconvenience in the future.

By size, bicycles are classified into mountain bikes, hybrid and off-road bikes. There are most of such bikes on the roads, and highly specialized bicycles have their own criteria when choosing a size and are bought only by people who know why they need such a device.

Stand over the bike frame so your back is touching the saddle. The distance between the topmost tube of the frame and the crotch should be between 5 and 15 centimeters. There are no absolutely precise criteria that allow you to choose a device for a specific height. For a specific person, such devices may be suitable, which at first glance noticeably differ in size. Frame design, manufacturer and model range are important factors.

Dimension markings are digital, and there are alphabetic ones. The length is tied to the height of the frame tube, which is measured from the axis of the carriage to the cut of the tube under the saddle. Some firms measure differently, and therefore the same labeling on the products of different firms may differ significantly. With differences in design, the dimensions of almost all pipes and angles change, which also complicates the measurement. Therefore, you should not make a choice based on some numerical indicator.
