It is necessary

  • - skiing;
  • - protection;
  • - gentle slope.

Instructions

Step 1

Skiing can be learned quickly - in just a few days. Of course, friends who know how to stand on skis and can show you basic movements, braking, turns will be a great help for you. In any case, you can hire an instructor at the resort, who will acquaint you with the basics for a fee.

Step 2

Going to conquer the peaks, take care of the equipment. Pay attention that there are no scratches or cracks on the skis, check the bindings. Do not ignore the helmet, goggles and gloves, they will save unprotected parts of the body during a fall, and a novice skier cannot avoid them.

Step 3

When choosing a descent, stop at the most innocuous area. Do not be confused by the fact that even some small children fly from "adult" tracks, because the main thing in this matter is not age, but experience. An easy stretch will allow you to avoid serious injury and practice basic exercises in a relaxed environment.

Step 4

To successfully handle your skis, you need to learn three techniques: dribbling, tilting, and pressure control, meaning you must be able to move your legs by turning the skis perpendicular to your foot, be able to use the edges of the skis, and be able to distribute pressure by varying the weight applied to each part of the ski. Over time, you will understand at what points you need to apply it.

Step 5

Pushing off the slope with sticks, try to go not straight down, but across the hill. Do not tilt the body back - this will in no way help you to slow down, but it will accelerate the fall. The body should be tilted forward, and you will brake with the help of turns, which you need to do on bent knees. During the turn, you need to ride on the edges of the skis, otherwise it will be much more difficult to maneuver.

Step 6

The vast majority of beginners at the very beginning of the training experience a fear of speed. It does not have to be overcome - it is absolutely normal and natural. At first, you don't need speed, because your main task is to practice movements. You have to feel the skis, learn how to control them, and speed in this case will only be a hindrance.
