Poker is considered by many to be the most interesting and exciting card game. For some, such games are simple entertainment, while for others, poker helps to make money. Many would like to learn how to play poker in order to support the company and keep up with friends.
It is necessary
- - a deck of poker cards;
- - chips.
Instructions
Step 1
Learn all the combinations that are in the game and remember their seniority. Pair - two cards of the same rank; two pair, three of a kind - three cards of the same rank; straight - five cards are followed in order of precedence (ten, jack, queen, king, ace); flush - five cards of the same suit; full house - three and a pair (three queens, two kings); kare - four identical cards; straight flush - five cards of the same suit, they follow each other in seniority; royal flush - ten, jack, queen, king and ace of the same suit.
Step 2
In rare versions of the game, there is one more combination: poker - 4 identical cards and a joker. If you just want to play with your family, you do not need to learn special terminology. But to participate in tournaments, you need to know all the terms that are associated with poker. You also need to remember all the rules of the game, there are not many of them in poker. The most popular variation is Texas Hold'em, there is no poker hand.
Step 3
In this type of poker, each player receives two cards, they are called "pocket" cards. These two cards cannot be seen by anyone except the owner of these cards. Next, five community cards are laid out. They are used by all players to get combinations. Before the cards are dealt, the players must place their bets. The player to the left of the dealer posts the "small blind" - half of the minimum bet. The "small blind" sitting to the left of the caller pays the "big blind" - the minimum bet.
Step 4
This is followed by "preflop", at this stage the players either make a "big blind" bet and move on, either raise the bet or leave the game. The next stage is the "flop", in this round three cards out of five common ones are laid out on the table. Players can bet or raise or leave the game. Next, the "turn" is laid out on the table - the fourth community card. The last stage of the game is the river, where the dealer reveals the fifth community card.
Step 5
When all the community cards are laid out, and the bets are made, the players must show up - reveal their cards. The player with the strongest combination wins. If the forces are equal, the pot is divided in half. These are the most basic rules of the game, if you want to get better at poker, practice with your family or online games.
