Denim clothing has become popular for a long time and has not gone out of fashion to this day. If you are invited on a visit or on a date, and all things, except for simple jeans, are waiting for washing, try decorating the denim with an applique made of rhinestones.
It is necessary
- - glue-based rhinestones;
- - iron;
- - scissors;
- - ironing board;
- - towel.
Instructions
Step 1
Before you start decorating jeans with rhinestones, you should wash your trousers without adding rinse aid or special products. Dry and iron the jeans so that the appliqué is applied to the even fabric. Lay out the prepared jeans on the ironing board.
Step 2
Cut out the picture of your choice from the paper on which the design of rhinestones is applied. Remove the paper from the picture that protects the glue base of the rhinestones. If necessary, correct the drawing using tweezers. Choose a spot on the jeans where you would like to place the design, and attach the tape with the applique to the fabric with the sticky side. The glue is needed so that the position of the rhinestones in the drawing is preserved while you iron it with an iron. Flip the printed fabric with the wrong side up. Place a soft cloth, such as a terry towel, under the front side, in the area of the applique. And on the seamy side, which is on top, you can put thin material.
Step 3
In order to glue the applique, you need an iron or a special heat press. On the iron, shave between the setting for ironing cotton and wool. For the press, the temperature will be about one hundred and seventy degrees. Turn off the steam mode on the iron before sewing appliqué fabrics. Leave the iron on the fabric without moving for twenty to twenty five seconds. If the size and height of the rhinestones are the same, then you can warm up the applique from the front side of the jeans. This will allow the glue to saturate the fabric better.
Step 4
Only after the applique has cooled down, very carefully remove the adhesive film from the rhinestones, which should already firmly adhere to the fabric. If some of the rhinestones remained on the tape, then using tweezers they need to be returned to their place and the procedure for processing the application with an iron again.
