Scuba diving has become a favorite pastime not only for divers, but also for crayfish catchers and other adventure seekers. Diving equipment can be purchased at the sports store along with a refueled scuba gear. Before the next dive, the cylinder must be filled with air, and this must be done in compliance with certain rules and safety measures.

Step 1
You can refuel your scuba gear yourself if you know how to handle compressor equipment. Otherwise, contact the fire department, rescue service or diving club, that is, where the breathing apparatus is refueled. A refueling specialist will fill the scuba with purified air for a fee.
Step 2
When you have fully mastered the scuba equipment and feel confident that you can refuel the scuba on your own, purchase a compressor for refueling cylinders. It is expensive, but if you dive in a large company and often refuel scuba gear, then the cost of the compressor will be quite acceptable when you put it together.
Step 3
If you are diving in places where there is no electricity nearby, then a compact gasoline compressor is for you. Make sure that the device is equipped with an air filter.
Step 4
Purchase a portable electric scuba compressor from the mains supply. The choice of compressors is quite large and experts will help you choose exactly the one that suits your cylinder.
Step 5
Check the rubber diaphragms and valves before refueling. All parts must be intact, without cracks and diaper rash. Also check air hoses, valve springs, clamps and fittings. Replace worn parts if faults are found.
Step 6
Connect a serviceable scuba gear to the compressor, set the pressure that the cylinder will withstand. Switch on the compressor and open the valve. It will take 10 minutes to refuel a 14 liter scuba tank. Close the air supply after the cylinder is filled and turn off the compressor.
Step 7
After you have refueled your scuba, be sure to check the air quality with a gas analyzer. If any foreign matter is present, release the air and repeat the cylinder filling procedure.
