Step 1
If the computers are connected by a local network, then the game is created directly from the client. You need to go to the "Network game" menu item, select the "Local network" item and press the "Create game" button. The rest of the computers on the network need to select "connect to the game" in the same tab and enter the IP address of the "creating" computer.

If you need a server for playing on the Internet, download the ready-made assembly from the official Steam website or from one of the amateur forums. Unpack the downloaded archive to the root directory of the game.

Change to the ".cstrikeaddonsamxmodxconfigs" directory and find the users.ini file there. In order to make any user an administrator on a given server, enter the line "name | ip | steamid" "password" "access flags" "account flags" at the end of this file, where in the first quotes you need to enter a nickname or IP address administrator, secondly - the password, thirdly - the possibilities open to the administrator (in order to make an administrator with absolute rights, you need to enter abcdefghijkmnopqrstu). The last item, "accountflags" determines the degree of protection: the letter "a" entered there means that the player will be removed from the server for entering the password incorrectly, and the characters "de" indicate that the administrator is determined by the IP address specified in the first item and the password can be not ask.

The server is started via the hlds exe file. A window will appear in which you will need to enter the server name, select the map, the type of network connection, the maximum number of players and the password for connecting to the server. A screen will appear showing the status of the created server - you should copy the contents of the IP Address field and transfer it to people interested in the game.
Step 5
Players must open the Counter-Strike client, go to the "Network game" item and click on the "connect by IP" button, and enter the server address in the window that appears.
Step 6
In order to gain access to the administrator role (if the password option was selected), before connecting to the server, enter setinfo _pw # in the console, where # will be your password. Subsequently, administrator rights are activated by the amxmodmenu command.
