Step 1
In order to play Counter-Strike on the Internet, you first need to patch the game. What does this mean? A patch is a tool that changes the functionality of a program. In other words, this is an update. That is, by installing it, you can play Counter-Strike with other people over the Internet.
Its installation is extremely simple: follow the link https://csfight.net/16patch.php and download any of the files. Next, run the installation file and specify the path to hl.exe. This is usually the C: / Program Files / Valve folder. The update installation will begin. Once it's over, click Finish.
If you have a licensed version of Counter-Strike (Steam), then you do not need to install the patch.
Step 2
Next, you need to find the server on which you will play. You can search for a server both via the Internet and from the game itself.
To find a server on the Internet, use a service that monitors cs servers. To find such a service, type in the search engine "counter-strike server monitoring". After you find the server you want, copy its address.
In order to find a server from the game itself, go to Counter-Strike and click "Find server", then select the "Internet" tab and "Update all". When the required server is found, hover over it, right-click and click "View Information". In the line "IP address" you will see the server address. Copy it.
Step 3
So everything is ready. If you did everything correctly, your clipboard contains the address of the server you wish to access. In order to log into the server, do the following:
1. Go to Counter-Stike.
2. Select "Find severs"
3. Select the "Favorites" tab.
4. Click Add.
5. Paste in the address of your server and click "Add this server to favorites".
The server will appear in your favorites and will remain there until you delete it. You can add an infinite number of servers to your favorites, but this will make it difficult to navigate through them.
