It will not be difficult to draw a chicken, because you have probably seen this poultry that always lives next to a person. Look at a chicken or a picture of it, study the proportions of its body parts, and it will be easier for you to reproduce its image on a piece of paper.
It is necessary
Pencil, eraser, watercolor, and paintbrush or colored pencils on paper
Instructions
Step 1
Decide in what pose and what size you want to draw the chicken. After you imagine where the drawing will be located, take a simple pencil and start creating.
Step 2
Draw two circles for the chicken. The small circle will subsequently become the head of the chicken, and the larger circle will become the body of the bird. Place the circles next to each other and connect them so that they blend into one another. At the junction there will be a chicken neck, which thickens from the head towards the body.
Step 3
Outline the head of the chicken. Make up its beak from two triangles. Draw the eyes in the form of small circles, draw the pupils. Place your eyes at the top of your head next to your beak.
Step 4
Complete the chicken's head with a small beard and scallop. The lines should be soft. Remember that a chicken's scallop is much smaller than a cock's.
Step 5
Draw feathers on the front of the chicken's head, neck, back and tail. There should be more feathers on the chicken's neck. They will make up a small collar.
Step 6
Draw wings, or one wing if drawing a chicken from the side. Draw the chicken feet, three toes in the front and one in the back, with small triangular claws.
Step 7
Create the tail starting with the bottom chunky tail feathers. Complement the tail with longer, more rounded feathers.
Step 8
Correct your drawing, erase unnecessary lines with an eraser, and draw the necessary ones more clearly with a pencil. Now you can move on to coloring the bird.
Step 9
For the nibs, use white, beige and brown paints or crayons. In places where the chicken will be more illuminated, according to the picture, use lighter colors. Outline the outline with darker colors.
Step 10
Complete your drawing with a background. Draw the grass for the bird to walk on, or the grains that it pecks on. Draw the shadow that falls from the bird.
