A BMX bike is not only a means of transportation, but also a means of displaying many intricate stunts. To learn tricks on such a bike, it is enough to master a few basic and, as a rule, not difficult ones. Then things will go much faster. One such trick is Tailwhip.

This trick is not difficult, but quite spectacular

Instructions

Step 1

This trick involves turning the bike frame around the handlebars. This trick is simple if you understand exactly how the frame needs to be twisted. Pay attention to the front brakes, or rather, to their presence. Without the front brakes, it will be difficult to stay on one wheel.

Step 2

So, ride the front pegs without going too fast. Otherwise, you can fly over the steering wheel when braking. Slide your front leg to the left of the frame, holding it over the wheel. The trick is done with the help of the brakes, however, it is advisable to help with the foot.

Step 3

Now press your foot firmly against the front wheel of the bike behind the fork and apply the front brake at the same time. You need to do all of this quickly enough to get the bike onto the front wheel. At the same time, push the bike frame counterclockwise with your left foot on the rear peg. This should be done in such a way that pushing the frame is carried out later than the moment the bike stops. In other words: the rear wheel must lift off the ground. In Tailwhip, this is the most important point. It will be easier further.

Step 4

Next comes the rotation. When the frame begins to move counterclockwise around the steering wheel, concentrate on some points. The first is to keep your body directly above the helmsman, transferring all your weight to the leg standing on the wheel. The steering wheel must be kept at right angles to the ground, otherwise the rear wheel will hit the ground without completing a full turn. Second, there is a little trick that will make it easier to perform a number of tricks: control the rotation of the frame by rotating the steering wheel, making movements with it in a circle, as if following the frame itself.

Step 5

And the last step. After the frame is half way (180 °), move the left leg with which you threw the frame closer to the handlebars. Then you can catch the frame with your foot at the very end of its rotation. Put your feet on the pedals, drive away. It's all.
