Drop is a basic concept for most role-playing games, literally meaning "the probability of a valuable item falling out." It is quite obvious that a character with a high drop chance will literally bathe in good uniforms and items for sale, which cannot be called a drawback.

Instructions

Step 1

Develop related metrics. In different role-playing systems, the drop is calculated in different ways, but there is always a chance to increase it through the development of the character. So in Diablo you can take the "search in a corpse" skill, thanks to which you can double check one body. Similarly, in Fallout there is a treasure hunter perk, which dramatically increases the chance of finding something valuable from a defeated enemy. In more classic things (like D&D), the probability of finding a treasure directly depends on the "luck" parameter and the character class as a whole.

Step 2

Use enchanted items. In Titan Quest there is a separate bonus to items called the "chance of dropping a magic item." Thus, if you collect a set of uniforms, each item of which has the specified extension, the probability of a high-quality drop will increase several times. Do not forget that you can increase the indicators with the help of runes and upgrades.

Step 3

Hunt high-level monsters. The logic is simple: the stronger the creature, the more value it will bring after death. It's not even so much about ordinary opponents - it is much more important to look for bosses and "special creatures" of hand made. For example, these can be found when completing side quests or exploring hidden locations: in general, the developers always encourage meticulous players. This is especially true of MMO projects in which whole raids are organized on the most powerful bosses.

Step 4

Increase the difficulty. First of all, set the difficulty of the game to maximum - then you will get stronger monsters and, as a result, better things. In addition, all combat RPGs are built on the fact that the number of mobs' lives directly depends on the number of people playing. All games, starting with the already mentioned Diablo and ending with Dead Island, encourage collective passage, and playing with friends, you a priori increase the likelihood of getting good equipment. In most cases, this is also achieved due to the fact that players from different sessions can exchange the accumulated good (see Borderlands).
