Why the Decembrist does not bloom

Quite often, many growers are faced with such a problem that the Decembrist does not bloom. Moreover, even the creation of ideal conditions for plants close to tropical ones, as well as the use of special fertilizers, does not help to solve this problem. There may be many reasons why the plant does not bloom, the most common is that the flower simply did not feel the flowering time.

This problem can be easily solved. It is necessary in the fall (late September or early October) to place the flower in a cool dark place and limit its watering to once every two weeks, at the end of November, rearrange the plant to a lighter and warmer place and increase the number of watering to twice a week. All this will contribute to the awakening of the Decembrist and in the next month or two he will delight with abundant flowering. However, it is worth remembering that during the formation of buds and flowering, it is necessary to take care of the plant more carefully: make sure that the soil in the pot is always slightly damp, protect it from direct sunlight (provide diffused light), maintain air humidity and in no case flood the flower to avoid root rot.

Why do the Decembrist's buds fall

It often happens that with proper care, the first buds appear in the Decembrist, but the flower, without waiting for flowering, drops them. In most cases, this is due to the rearrangement of the plant from place to place. It is worth remembering that during flowering, in no case should you not only rearrange the plant, but also turn it over, touch it.

If this condition was met, but the buds still fall off without blooming, it is necessary first of all to check if the soil in the pot is moist enough, if there are no drafts, since temperature drops are destructive for the Decembrist. With proper care, this plant can live 15-20 years and during all this time please you with annual flowering.
