Homemade toys store much more warmth and attention than store-bought toys, especially when it comes to toys that contribute to a child's development - both intellectually and creatively. The creative development of kids is very important, and it cannot be complete without children's musical instruments. You can make by hand a simple and affordable musical toy - a wooden whistle.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a flat willow twig with a thickness of about 10 mm. From all branches, choose one that has a fairly flat surface with intact bark. There should be no knots on the branch. Choose a suitable and smoothest section of the branch 4-7 cm long and cut the branch to the left and right of the flat section.
Step 2
At one end of the resulting stick, make a deep annular cut that cuts through the bark completely and gently grips the wood under the bark. Cut off a small circle of bark at the beginning, 1-2 mm thick.
Step 3
Take a small hammer or knife handle and start tapping the bark in a circle to peel the bark from the wood. Roll the branch on a flat surface. Make a small cut on the branch and remove the bark, being careful not to damage the surface of the branch and the surface of the bark, with a rotational motion.
Step 4
Place the bark circle in its original place with the cut up, with the narrow side towards the hole. The finished whistle will turn out to be very loud, and it will have one sound. If you have a willow rod about 15 cm long, you can make a simple pipe with three or four holes, which you can use to adjust the note of your musical instrument.
Step 5
Just plug the open end of the flute with a wooden plug and make holes in the wood, which you then simultaneously cover with your fingers. The finished flute will produce pleasant notes, which can be adjusted to the tuner if necessary.
