From time to time, for vocal training, karaoke, musical accompaniment for slideshows and presentations, and for other activities, a person needs a backing track of a certain song. There are backing tracks for many songs on the Internet, but sometimes it is not possible to find the backing track of the desired song, and you have to do it yourself. In this article, you will learn how to create a backing track for a song using Adobe Audition.
Instructions
Step 1
Install and run the program, and then make several copies of your music track in the same folder. Four copies will be enough - for low, middle, high frequencies, and a copy of the original.
Step 2
Open all copies in the program window and select the original sound track. Highlight the sound wave corresponding to this track and right-click on the selection. Select the "Filters" section in the menu and select the "Extract" item for the central channel to open the extraction settings window.
Step 3
Adjust the Center Channel Level slider to adjust the volume and Discrimination Settings to adjust the cropping width. Periodically listen to what you get by pressing the "View" button. When you are satisfied with the result, click OK.
Step 4
Now select the copy of the track you have chosen for the bass. Select the sound wave again and choose Scientific Filters from the menu, selecting the Butterward filter. Set the cutoff frequency to 800Hz and listen to the track with the "View" button. Achieve such an effect so that there are as few voices as possible, and there are no instrumental losses at all.
Step 5
Do the same with the rest of the tracks, editing the middle frequencies in the "Bandwidth" and setting the value to 800-6000Hz. Cut out the center channel everywhere.
Step 6
After all the tracks have been cut to frequencies, select "Multitrack" from the menu and drag each file onto your track, placing them on top of each other, without delay. Listen to the resulting backing track with the "Play" button, if necessary, adjust the equalizer, raising the mid frequencies up, and save the mixed multitrack to an MP3 file.
