We may need backing tracks quite often. For example, you need to make a number for an event or concert, arrange a video, in the end, some just want to sing at home, delighting or infuriating households. The easiest way is to download a backing track on the network, there are specialized sites where you can find quite a lot of such material. However, it is not always possible to find the required backing track, or you can download it only for a fee. Let's try to make a backing track from the song ourselves.
Instructions
Step 1
First, download a music editor called Audacity. It is quite user-friendly and, most importantly, a free editor with a very clear control panel. Install the program on your computer and run it.
Step 2
Click the "File" tab, select the audio recording you need. It will open as a spectrum in your program. Then grab the edges of the track with the mouse and stretch it - this will make it more convenient for you to work with it. Divide your track into two channels - left and right. To do this, select the appropriate command from the track control menu. Select Mono for each channel to match the sound.
Step 3
Select one of the channels by clicking on it with the mouse, call the "Invert" function in the "Effects" tab. Now listen to what you got by clicking the play button in the main menu of the program.
Here is your backing track. Surely it will not turn out to be ideal in quality, but the vocalist's voice will become noticeably quieter, moreover, the voices of the backing vocals will remain, since they are scattered throughout the stereo panorama.
Step 4
Now select the entire track and use the "File" menu to export to the format you need.
If you need a backing track of a higher quality, then it's better to order it from an arranger or purchase it on specialized sites.
