This song was known and loved in the Soviet Union by both adults and children. For the first time, she sounded in the wonderful cartoon "Winter in Prostokvashino" performed by the incomparable Valentina Tolkunova, whose warm soulful voice best suited the words. In the cartoon, Uncle Fyodor's mother sings in the voice of Tolkunova, who came to the village on skis, having time to sound the numb TV.
The authors of the song are the poet Yuri Entin and the composer Yevgeny Krylatov, who by that time had composed many bright compositions for cartoons, which for many years became favorite among children. They are popular in our time.
Evgeny Krylatov said that the music for cartoons should be special, a little fabulous, toy. But the song "If there was no winter" turned out to be universal. It sounds great both on the big stage and in a cheerful company, it's all about words and perky music.
