Step 1
Decoupage (literally translated from French - carving) - decoration of various surfaces using carved images. These can be small fragments and whole pictures that decorate furniture, dishes, Christmas tree decorations, and other interior items. Despite the fact that this technique is several centuries old, in Russia it has been gaining popularity only since the beginning of the XXI century. At the heart of modern decoupage is the decoration of the surface with images cut from special paper - decoupage napkins and cards. You can complement the decor with an unusual texture, gilding, craquelure, combine paper motifs with painted ones.
Step 2
Scrapbooking ("scrapbook", "scrapbook") - initially making albums for photographs with your own hands. In a broad sense, modern scrapbooking as a form of decorative creativity is the production of postcards, notebooks, photo albums, decorated with volumetric and flat images, textile, metal elements, lace, artificial flowers, which are arranged in a finished composition, a photo collage on a specific or free theme. Albums, postcards and notepads can be not only a traditional book, but also folded "accordion", house or box.

Point-to-point is the so-called point painting, a technique in which the surface is decorated with dots applied with a special contour. A feature of this technique is painstaking small work - to get a delicate, graceful pattern with beautiful color transitions, the dots should be small, not spread and applied very close to each other. In addition, this is a rather expensive method of decoration - high-quality contours are not cheap, and a high-quality gradient requires several shades of the same color. You can "sharpen" not only an independent picture, this method will successfully complement the work in the decoupage technique.
Step 4
Quilling - making decorative compositions using strips of colored paper twisted into a spiral, a technique also hailing from the Middle Ages. Initially, monks were engaged in it, now craftswomen make postcards, decorative panels, jewelry in this way. The technique is based on the simplest technique - a long strip of special paper is twisted into a spiral using a thin rod (in the simplest version, it can be the rod of an ordinary ballpoint pen). Then the workpiece is given an oblong, bent on one side or any other shape, as a result, various petals, rays of snowflakes and so on are obtained. Usually it is required to make quite a lot of elements, which are then assembled into a single composition.
