Step 1
First, decide which animal you would like to knit. After all, the choice of threads will depend on this. The easiest version of the "animal" hat for knitting will be a hat with round ears - in the form of a bear or a panda.
Step 2
After you have decided on the color of the threads, choose at what time you would like to knit the hat. For early autumn, choose thin threads, but for cold weather, of course, the yarn should be thick. Please consult your dealer immediately in the store for a suitable hook size. Remember that the smaller the hook, the tighter the knit and, accordingly, the warmer your hat.
Step 3
Start knitting a hat from the top of your head. To do this, dial six air loops and close them in a ring. Then knit the next row, knitting two new ones in each loop of the previous row. As a result, you will already have twelve loops. In the third row, you should have eighteen loops - in every second loop of the previous row, knit two. The fourth row should have twenty-four loops. Thus, for each subsequent row, you need to add six loops.
Step 4
Having reached the twelfth row and knitting 72 loops in it, in the next row knit the same number of loops, but in the fourteenth row there should be six more loops. Thus, in the future, you will knit two rows with the same number of loops.
Step 5
Do not forget to try on a hat on a child from time to time. For an adult, the hat needs to be tied up to 150 loops. After you have tried on and decided that you should not do it wider, start knitting rows with the same number of loops until the hat reaches the desired volume.
Step 6
Now you need to attach the ears to the cap. To do this, knit four circles of the same diameter and sew them in pairs. It is very easy to tie a circle. Start with six loops, in each subsequent row, doubling their number: 6, 12, 24.
Step 7
Sew on the ears on the sides of the hat. You can also glue or sew on the hat with eyes and a nose cut from a piece of fabric, leather, or also knitted.
