Boucle is a fancy yarn that allows you to create interesting textured fabrics. It is a thread with decorative irregularities that add volume and softness to the product. Working with bouclé yarns requires the right model and special dexterity. You will have to knit cleanly - if you are mistaken, then after the unfolding of the canvas, the thread may lose its visual appeal. Before making boucle clothes, practice with a small sample using special assistive techniques.
It is necessary
- - two straight or circular thick knitting needles;
- - light-colored boucle yarn (optional);
- - pattern;
- - notebook and pencil.
Instructions
Step 1
Think over the type of future product, and at the same time be sure to take into account the peculiarities of your figure and the seasonal belonging of the clothes. Knitted from bouclé yarn, the model will look voluminous. A thread with a warm fiber (natural wool, merino, etc.) is well suited for outer cardigans, ponchos, coats - all these are beautiful outfits for the off-season. In winter, you can wear bouclé hats, scarves and mittens.
Step 2
Choose thin boucle yarn, which is based on cotton, for knitting summer clothes. This material is suitable for slender women - tops, boleros, dresses with bouquets and lumps on the canvas will add extra volume to the figure. Experienced needlewomen often knit things from a textured thread according to tailor's patterns.
Step 3
Try to knit from boucle on fairly thick knitting needles (otherwise the fabric will come out too dense), using light-colored yarn. Crocheting will be more difficult, since when knitting the columns of the lower rows, you can easily make a mistake in the calculations - they are visually indistinguishable and almost invisible. Darker thread will make the buttonholes more invisible.
Step 4
Knit bouclé yarn garments in stockinette stitch or garter stitch. These patterns are considered optimal for textured fabrics. Pretentious openwork and reliefs are meaningless here, since they are completely lost against the background of the boucle.
Step 5
Maintain symmetry when knitting the same piece of fluffy garment (such as sleeves or shelves). When using a boucle, it is difficult to count the rows and the number of loops required (especially if you still chose a dark-toned working thread). To make the detail exactly match the pattern, it is recommended to knit “mirror” parts of the cut from two different balls.
Step 6
Work on the details of the clothing alternately, performing the same actions: decrease in the first, then in the second part of the product; parallel set of loops; beveling on one part, then on another, etc.
Step 7
Start a knitting notebook to accurately record all the important manipulations done. This will allow you to carry out paired cut elements separately, and at the same time not be mistaken in the calculations.
Step 8
Having started work on one piece of clothing, indicate in the notebook the number of rows knitted, loops reduced and added, and other data.
Step 9
Continue to knit another piece of the product, constantly checking your workbook. For example, after dialing a certain number of loops, cross out the corresponding entry; do the same after completing the required rows, increments, etc. As you work on your bouclé outfit, try on regularly.
