In the sheer number of TV shows, seasons and episodes that exist today, it can be easy to get confused. And if you want to revise the episode you like, but do not remember its number or name, then you will have to work hard to find it.
With the current abundance of various television series, finding the right episode can be difficult, especially if all the information you have at your disposal is an approximate description of the plot. In any case, you will need to know the name of the series, because without this, the search may be futile.
How to search?
Use the internet to find the episode you want. The likelihood of success directly depends on how you write your search query. Try to formulate the description as clearly as possible: you do not need to try to retell everything, it is enough to remember one or two significant moments on which the plot of the series is usually built. Please note that search engines have a limit on the size of a query, so be as laconic as possible. Feel free to use the names and titles that you remember. This greatly increases the chance of finding exactly what you need. While the storylines of some TV shows tend to repeat themselves, the names of the characters and the names of the places are usually unique.
Once you have identified some of the famous actors in the episode, try to start your search for the episode with his filmography. Sometimes this method gives better results than searching by description, especially if the actor has been on the show as a guest star.
Suitable sites
If a search in conventional search engines does not work, try referring to specialized resources. Most TV shows have fan sites or fan groups on social media. On such sites, you can find a list of all the episodes that have been released with a brief description of each of them. In addition, you can ask a question in one of the special topics on the forums of such resources: in most cases, there is a separate thread for this, in which fans of a particular series help each other in finding the necessary episodes.
On many sites that allow you to watch serials online, there is the possibility of commenting. Given the number of viewers, you are likely to get an answer quickly enough if you ask a well-worded question in the comments.
Finally, the required episode can be found by examining the articles on the episode. There are many online encyclopedias on the Internet that contain detailed descriptions of both the entire series and the plots of individual episodes. The only drawback is that during the search, you can accidentally find out the development of the storyline of the entire series (including the episodes you have not watched) and lose interest in it, so ideally it is advisable to know at least the season in which the desired episode is located.
