If you need to make an original and not very expensive gift, try to independently create a composition of 3-5 succulents, very unpretentious plants, which a child can take care of.
As a rule, such an unusual live sign of attention is very well perceived, lifts the mood and is remembered for a long time.
It is necessary
- - any succulents of small sizes in small pots: cacti, aloe, euphorbia, fat woman, Kalanchoe - 3-5 pieces;
- - a pot, wide and low (cactus), or a large glass brandy goblet, a small aquarium, a large teacup, etc.;
- - packing of drainage (expanded clay), can be replaced with small pebbles, pieces of polystyrene;
- - soil for cacti (sold in the store);
- - accessories for decorating the composition: shells, sea stones, large colored sand;
- - spray gun.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose plants in a flower shop taking into account that they are beautifully combined together: with different color of leaves, different shapes (elongated, round, fluffy).
If the vessel you have chosen is small, three copies are enough, if it is larger - five.
Step 2
Place drainage on the bottom of the vessel. Its height should be at least 1/3 of the height of the pot. This is done so that the water does not stagnate at the roots of plants, but flows down freely through the drainage. Succulents do not like dampness very much.
Step 3
Pour a little (1-3 cm of soil) over the drainage and place the plants removed from the pots on it. As a rule, a good root ball remains on the roots, try not to destroy it.
Group the plants so that they look good with each other. In the center or slightly to the side - the highest, next to it - lower, and along the edges - very small.
Step 4
Fill the gaps between the roots of flowers with soil, gently crush it with your fingers, so that the surface of the earth in the vessel becomes even.
Step 5
Decorate your composition with sand, spectacular stones, shells. Connect your imagination and place a bright decorative element here: a turtle or a butterfly figurine. Place a homemade paper sombrero on top of a cactus, giving the gift a playful national "desert" flavor.
Step 6
Spray plants, sand and stones with a spray bottle, washing them away from dust and dirt.
Important! During the week, you cannot water the soil near succulents, otherwise the roots, torn off during transplantation, will easily begin to rot, the plants can only be lightly sprayed. After a week has passed, start watering the composition in the ground, but very sparingly.
