To make this original bow you need:
- rep ribbons 2.5 cm wide;
- ribbons of different shades 0.9 cm wide;
- ruler;
- scissors;
- lighter;
- hot glue gun;
- threads;

- decorative button, brooch or bead.
Prepare ribbons of different widths. Bows made of materials in the same color scheme, but in different shades and using rep ribbons with a pattern, look very beautiful.
Make the base for the American bow. Cut 2 pieces of wide rep tape 50 and 40 cm long. From thin ribbons 0.9 cm wide of different colors, make 2 pieces of 30 cm each, 2 pieces of 26 cm and 8 pieces of 12-13 cm long. working time and socks and looked neat, burn the ribbons on both sides with a lighter. Measure the middle of each ribbon and mark it with a simple pencil.
Take a 50 cm long reps ribbon (this is the largest part). Wrap one of its ends in a loop and attach to the mark. Wrap the other side in the same way. You will get a detail that resembles the number 8. Pin off the junction of the edges of the tape with a pin. Then fold the 40 cm long ribbon in the same way.
Place the eights side by side. And sew them in the middle with basting stitches. Remove the pins, tie the seam and wrap the center with the threads over the stitches.
Also fold narrow ribbons 30 and 26 cm long in eights and pin the joints together. Tie them together in 2 pieces and sew neatly down the center.
Cut off the ends of the narrowest parts with a corner. Lay them on top of each other in a circle, connecting the center mark. Pin off the ribbons with a pin. Put the largest bow on them, on it - a smaller piece, on top of this elements from narrow ribbons. Pin all together with a pin, sew all the elements together in the middle and wrap the bow with thread in the center. Use a hot glue gun to decorate the center of the item with a beautiful decorative button or bead.
American spiral bow
A mischievous and cute model of an American spiral bow is made quite simply. To make it you need:
- rep ribbons of different colors 0.9 cm wide;
- wooden sticks (pencils, sushi sticks, barbecue skewers);
- scissors;
- lighter;
- threads;
- a needle;
- clothespins;
- oven.
Attach a reps ribbon to one end of a wooden stick and press it with a clothespin. It is necessary to use clothespins made of wood, since plastic ones can melt during heat treatment of the spirals.
Wind the tape onto the stick. Cut and secure the other end also with a clothespin.
Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the chopsticks on a foil-lined baking sheet and place in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Then remove the baking sheet and let the parts cool. Then remove the clothespins and remove the spirals.
Cut the parts into elements of the required length, usually 8-10 cm. To prevent the edges from fraying, burn them with a lighter. Fold the parts in a slide and pull the spirals in the middle with a thread. Secure the connection with a few stitches.
