As you know, a huge number of roads between rural settlements have no asphalt pavement. In such a situation, vehicles with increased cross-country ability are of particular relevance.
Instructions
Step 1
You can make an all-terrain vehicle from your car. To do this, purchase a tracked module (companies that manufacture such modules place their advertisements on the Internet and in the yellow pages). Follow the instructions carefully to build and install the module. Then you need to enter this module along the ramps and remove the wheels of your car.
Step 2
Lower the harness onto the safety catches and then attach to the frame. Connect the gimbal of the vehicle to the axle of your track module. Install the control unit and bleed the hydraulic system. Drive your homemade ATV with your regular car steering wheel. When you need to put the wheels back, you can easily remove the track module and, if necessary, later re-boot your car.
Step 3
Read online, in magazines, books or newspapers about the principles and options for building a homemade ATV if you want to create one from scratch. Choose one of the most suitable options for you, based on the purpose of your future car.
Step 4
Visit a disassembly or car market and purchase the engine you need. The choice of powertrain depends on the power you need. Also, don't forget about the gearbox, steering, suspension and braking systems. All of these components can be purchased from different models and manufacturers, the main thing is that they do not "conflict" and fit your ATV. Weld a frame from pipes or purchase it for disassembly.
Step 5
Attach all parts and mechanisms to it, check their performance. Then install the seats (the number and location will depend on the design of the ATV). Use car seats, stools, chairs, boxes as seats - any item on which it will be convenient for you to drive the ATV.
