Today, pirate romance attracts not only children who are eager for adventure, but also adults who are not averse to trying on a new role at a friendly party, carnival or theatrical performance. The image of a pirate cannot be imagined complete without the characteristic pirate cocked hat. Sewing such a cocked hat is easy. Even a novice seamstress can cope with this in a couple of hours.

Instructions
Step 1
Take a tough, sturdy black cloth. If necessary, glue the fabric on the seamy side with interlining to make it even tougher, and then measure the circumference of the head to build the pattern. Cut out the details of the future cocked hat on the fabric - two details of the brim, a crown and two details of the bottom of the hat.
Step 2
Fold the halves of the margins together, right sides to each other, and sew along the edge of the cut. Turn the margins out, making small cuts in the allowances from the inside. Iron the part and sew a decorative stitch around the edges of the margins on the outside. Then fold the two egg-shaped bottoms, wrong sides together, and pin together at the edges, keeping seam allowances.
Step 3
On the sides of the parts, make small notches with scissors to make the product more neat. Then pin and stitch the crown parts together, then join the crown and bottom together. Sweep the crown with the bottom, and then sew them on the typewriter, at the same time overcasting the cut with a zigzag.
Step 4
Press the seam on the inside of the crown. Align the bottom edge of the crown with the detail of the brim, baste and sew by hand. From the inside, the seam can be sheathed with an oblique inlay for greater decorativeness. Fold the seam allowances back over the inside of the crown and sew by hand.
Step 5
Now, using thread and a needle, sew the edges of the brim to the crown at the front and sides to make the hat look like a real pirate cocked hat. Decorate the cocked hat with feathers, lace, and other decorative embellishments.
