Probably, many of us in childhood loved to run around the yard with homemade bows and arrows, after watching old Hollywood movies on videotapes. Suppose we have a bow. Then we only need to make arrows.

Instructions

Step 1

First we need to make the shaft of our arrow. Well-dried pine, spruce, or birch are fine. The length of the rod is chosen based on your tastes and the size of your bow. But the cross-sectional diameter of our rod is as close as possible to the diameter of the protrusion made on the bow.

Step 2

What else is needed for a good arrow? That's right, tip. It is enough just to sharpen one end of the rod. But if our bow is impressive in size, then the arrowhead should be made heavier. To do this, you will already need a metal nozzle. You can look for something similar on the market or cast from the metal yourself using a plasticine cast.

Step 3

Each arrow has a bowstring groove to prevent the arrow from slipping. On the side opposite to the tip, glue a small plastic plate into the rod. Its length should be approximately 7 mm, and its width should be the diameter of the rod itself.

Step 4

So that the arrow does not wobble from side to side in flight, you need to make a stabilizer-tail for it. For this, ordinary goose feathers are suitable. They need to be attached to the feather in such a way that the angles between them are equal to 120 degrees. The distance from the rear tip of the boom to the place where the feathers are glued should be 12-15 mm.

Step 5

But that's not all. To make our homemade arrow fly as smoothly as a real one, we will change the center of gravity. Find the middle of our arrow and measure one centimeter towards the tip. Mark the place with a pencil. Now we need to stick some plasticine on the arrowhead to balance the arrow in relation to the place marked with a pencil.
