In order to draw New Year's cards, you need to involve all your imagination and desire to create a small masterpiece for a certain person. Let's consider making a postcard using a simple example.

Step 1
Prepare a sheet of A4 paper. For a postcard, thick paper or white cardboard is best, you can find it in the store. Fold it in half with a booklet - you have a base for a postcard. You can create a drawing on its front side.
Step 2
Complete a simple drawing of a Christmas tree. To do this, draw a small triangle at the top of the sheet using a simple pencil without pressing it hard. This will be the top of the New Year's tree.
Step 3
Next, add a triangle to this by descending below the trapezoid with a rounded base. Each shape will be wider than the previous one, pay attention to this. If the blank for your Christmas tree is a little crooked, then it's okay. This will give her a sweet spontaneity and bring her closer to the original, to a living tree. Draw the leg of the forest beauty at the bottom.
Step 4
Now turn this tapered blank into a real tree. To do this, draw needles of different lengths and thicknesses on the bases of the triangle and trapezoids. It turned out to be a decorative tree.
Step 5
Use the eraser to erase all construction lines. The tree has finally acquired its features.
Step 6
It's time to decorate it. With diagonal lines, draw four or five stripes on the Christmas tree - New Year's streamer.
Step 7
Continue decorating the guest. Place Christmas tree decorations on the branches (in this picture these are balls), draw a star on the top of the head. To prevent the Christmas tree from looking lonely on a white background, fill this space with painted gift boxes.
Step 8
Now you can paint in color. It is better to use gouache, it is more intense. Start in color with the background, then wood and then fine details. Optionally, you can use a black marker stroke, or paint a little glitter nail polish on top of the dried art. Your card will only benefit from this. Do not forget about the inscription "Happy New Year!" and the internal design of the postcard.
