In the creation of various complex mechanisms in Minecraft, sticky pistons are often required, for crafting which the player cannot do without slime. You can get it only after the destruction of hostile mobs - slugs.
It is necessary
- - weapons;
- - torches;
- - any solid blocks.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are just a beginner "minecraft", the likelihood of meeting a slug that looks like a greenish cube of different sizes (1-4 blocks) is extremely low for you. These hostile mobs appear only in certain chunks and in a limited number. They spawn about ten times less often than other gamer-unfriendly creatures, but unlike the same zombies, skeletons and other "lovers of darkness", they are not afraid of lighting.
Step 2
The highest chance of meeting a slug is underground, no higher than forty blocks from the bedrock, or during a game "night" in the swamps. If you managed to find yourself within sixteen cells from the slug, you don't have to worry about the need to look for it - it will rush towards the player by itself, moving by jumping. When it happens underground, be careful: green jelly-like creatures like to be near light, and in the mine its only source is lava, which is dangerous for any "minecrafter".
Step 3
Don't rely, however, solely on the slug's own ability to track down players like you - aim for it yourself. Go to its favorite habitats - open quarries or caves. Having found a suitable specimen of a slug there, place more torches in order to properly illuminate the surroundings and avoid the manifestation of other mobs there (creepers, skeletons, zombies, etc.). Because of them, the limit of this chunk on the spawn of various creatures can be exceeded.
Step 4
Create a slug farm if you want to always have a couple of them "at hand". To do this, having found the place of their spawn, engage in "construction work". Make a single or double floor out of any available solid blocks and erect a wall three or four cubes high so that the "pets" cannot jump over it. Don't forget to light the enclosed area with torches!
Step 5
Remember: meeting any slug is dangerous for you (although small creatures are actually harmless). Therefore, always arm yourself if there is a chance to stumble upon such a mob. When attacking a slug (he will try to push you into the death-bringing lava), hit him with a sword or other weapon. Immediately jump to the side if there is a large individual in front of you - it immediately splits into several smaller ones, with each of which you will also have to fight. The destruction of a very tiny mob will bring one or two units of mucus and a certain amount of experience.
