When it's time for the holidays, many people want to please their friends and relatives living in another city with wonderful gifts. Step 1
Find out which post offices near your home accept parcels. Keep in mind that not all post offices will accept packages that weigh more than two kilograms. To avoid having to stand in a long line, arrive early at the start of the working day. There are usually a lot of visitors at the post office after lunch and on weekends.
Step 2
At the post office, you will be asked to purchase a special mailbox or packing bag. If you have never sent a package before and have no idea how it happens, get a better mailbox. The mail bag needs to be sewn up correctly, and it is not so easy for a beginner to do this.
Step 3
Pack in a dangle box, fill the empty space with newsprint. The box must not look bloated or deformed, the lid must close freely, otherwise it will not be accepted for shipment.
Step 4
Arriving at the post office, take and fill out a special form for the parcel. In the form, you must indicate the detailed address and name of the recipient of the parcel, also write your passport details and your own address. If you wish, you can make an inventory of the contents of the parcel in duplicate. Forms for the inventory can be taken in the same place as the forms for the parcel.
Step 5
At the last stage, you will need to indicate on the box in a specially designated place once again the address of the sender and recipient of the parcel, as well as the estimated value. After all the work done, go to the window and hand the box to the operator along with the completed forms and your passport. The operator will cover the parcel with special tape, weigh it and give you a check containing all the data you wrote earlier in the form and on the box. Check them again very carefully. The check will also indicate the cost for sending the parcel. You just have to pay and your parcel will be sent to the addressee in the near future.
