The beret is a fairly popular headdress for both adults and children. Tie an original striped beret for a child, and he will surely like it.
It is necessary
- - 100 g of yarn of medium thickness in two contrasting colors;
- - knitting needles number 3 - 3, 5.
Instructions
Step 1
The beret is knitted from the seam line, so count the loops and dial according to its height (from the rim to the crown). Measure the width of the headband and the depth of the beret with a tape measure. Tie the pattern and count the number of loops for the typesetting row.
Step 2
From the total number of loops, select 10-15 loops and knit them with a double elastic band. Remove the first loop without knitting, and insert the right knitting needle from right to left, leaving the working thread behind the removed loop. Knit the next loop with a purl loop. So knit all the stitches for the headband. In the next rows, remove the knitted loops, and knit the removed ones purl.
Step 3
On the remaining loops, knit the main part of the beret. Knit the first, third and fifth rows with purl loops. The second and fourth are facial. The sixth row is purl. Knit the seventh, eighth and ninth rows with a 1x1 elastic band (and start with a purl loop).
Step 4
In the tenth row, change the yarn to threads of a different color (up to the rim) and knit with purl loops. Knit the eleventh row with the front ones. Having tied the glad to the end, cut off the thread and go to the threads of the main color.
Step 5
Twelfth row - purl loops. Thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth - 1x1 elastic (start knitting from the purl loop). Sixteenth row - purl loops. From the next row, repeat the pattern from the beginning.
Step 6
Repeat the knitting of these rows, which make up the drawing of the main part of the beret, 10-13 times, depending on the size of the head. To make the beret sit well on the child's head, try on the headband as you knit.
Step 7
Sew a side cut of the beret and pull off the top of the head with a thread. Sew a loop or button on top. You can decorate a beret for a girl with a flower crocheted or on knitting needles or with funny pom-poms.
