It is necessary

Knitting machine, 60 grams of yarn, sheet of paper, pencil, ruler, thread, needle

Instructions

Step 1

Make a pattern for the hat. To do this, draw a drawing on a sheet of paper according to the following dimensions: 8 cm - elastic band height, 54 cm - hat pattern width, 25 cm - height (excluding elastic band), 6.5 cm - wedge height.

Step 2

Align the needles on the rear and front beds L68-R68 so that the outermost loops are on the rear bed. This is necessary for knitting industrial elastic. In this case, the mark on the scale of the density regulator should be at 3 for the rear carriage and 4 for the front carriage. After dialing the first row, reset the counter.

Step 3

Knit 40 rows of industrial elastic. Then place the stitches on the rear needle bar and reset the counter. Then start knitting with the main pattern - satin stitch - the next 65 rows.

Step 4

Start knitting the wedge from row 66. To do this, change the position of needles L68-L1. They should be in the forward non-working position. Set the partial knit levers. Start decreasing stitches one by one on each side in 67, 71, 72, 74 rows. From 75 to 81, decrease stitches in each row.

Step 5

Decrease 3 stitches on the carriage side and 1 on the opposite side from rows 82 to 85. For rows 86 and 87, subtract 8 sts from the carriage side and 1 st from the opposite side. Just close the loops that remain after decreasing. Using the same principle, knit the second wedge of the cap.

Step 6

Set aside the knitted blank for a hat for a few hours. Then, wet-heat the item and sew the wedges. Sew back seam and strip. Over the back seam, manually place the tucks using a thread and a needle: at a distance of 1 cm from each other (along the seam), make two grips and pull them together. Repeat this operation up to the edge of the product.
