The history of the mail envelope is closely related to the history of the mail itself. Each era had its own envelopes. The graceful envelope in which the socialite sent the message to her beloved is very different from the soldier's triangle during the Second World War. Before drawing an envelope, imagine who sent a letter in it and what kind of news they could send to their relatives or friends. This will determine the shape of the envelope, its color, design on the stamp or on the envelope itself, the presence and place of printing.

Instructions
Step 1
Most envelopes are current rectangles or some other shape. An elegant secular message could be sealed in a thin rectangle, which is much longer than wide. The Soviet envelope almost exactly matched the size of a 9x12 photograph.
Step 2
The location of the sheet can be arbitrary. In any case, mark the place for the envelope on it. You can just imagine it. Draw a long line. This will be the bottom line of the envelope. Draw 2 perpendiculars from its ends in one direction. The length is equal to the height of the envelope. Connect the ends of the perpendiculars with a straight line. You have the base for the envelope ready.
Step 3
Which side of the envelope do you want to paint? Its front side is just a rectangle with one or two pictures and several inscriptions. Draw a picture on the actual envelope. It is usually located on the left side. There may be a flower, a city, an animal, an athlete's figure, or a portrait of a great person. This is especially true for Soviet collectible envelopes, which were issued for all any significant dates.
Step 4
On the top right side, draw a stamp. It is a small horizontal or vertical rectangle. If you are drawing a non-serrated stamp, the lines should be strictly parallel to the lines of the envelope. The serrated stamp can be positioned as desired because it was pasted on.
Step 5
Under the stamp, draw several straight lines parallel to the long side of the envelope. The lines reach approximately to its middle. On the lines, you can write some kind of address, or you can simply depict the inscription with wavy lines or scribbles.
Step 6
If you want to depict the back of the envelope, draw 2 diagonals with a thin pencil. Determine where you will be up and where you will be down. Decorate the upper part - the one that is glued. You can draw 2 segments from the corners of the envelope, coinciding with the diagonals, but not reaching their intersection. The segments must be the same. Connect the ends with a straight line.
Step 7
You can make the envelope flap differently. Place a point about halfway between the intersection of the diagonals and the top line of the envelope. Connect this point with straight lines to the top corners of the envelope.
Step 8
You can "seal" the envelope with sealing wax or wax. To do this, on the flap and the envelope itself, draw a spot of an arbitrary shape, but close to a circle. In the middle of it, draw an image of some kind of coat of arms or just an oval, as if the letter was sealed with a ring.
