To have an idea of how to draw a seagull, you need to know that during the flight this bird clenches its paws, so you do not need to draw them. The seagull has very long and strong wings, so they will take up most of the drawing.

It is necessary

a sheet of paper, pencil, eraser, colored pencils or paints

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare everything you need for work: a sheet of A4 paper, a very hard, medium-hard pencil, a bold pencil, an eraser, as well as colored pencils or paints (if desired).

Step 2

The first sketches should be done with the hardest pencil. It is better to place the leaf horizontally, since the main emphasis will be on the wings, wide open in flight (the seagull will fly towards you, as it were).

Step 3

First, just above the center of the leaf, you need to draw a seagull's head. It should be round in shape and small in size (about the size of a five-ruble coin).

Step 4

Next, you need to draw the body of the bird under the head, the upper quarter of which will not be visible from behind the head. The body should be about 0.5 centimeters wider than the head on each side and drop down in a semicircle by another five centimeters.

Step 5

At the next stage, it is necessary to draw under the body, protruding slightly from behind it, the tail of the seagull. The tail should be open (should resemble an open fan in shape). Draw the legs of a seagull to the lower part of the body.

Step 6

Next, you need to draw the wings of the bird. As mentioned above, they should be quite long (the body of the gull in relation to the wings is only a sixth of them). The wings should be slightly raised above the bird's head and bent approximately in the middle. Important: the wing should be much narrower near the body than at the end.

Step 7

It is necessary to draw a seagull's eyes (small, round) and a beak. The beak should resemble a small rhombus in shape with two small stripes extending from it (this is how it looks when you look at the bird from the front).

Step 8

The next step is to pick up a bold pencil and draw the plumage of the gull (wings and tail). At the ends of the wings, the feathers are the largest.

Step 9

Then you can play with flowers if you wish, or shade individual parts of the bird with a bold simple pencil. The seagull is ready!
