Instructions
Step 1
When starting to sew, always lower the presser foot and needle before sewing. Turn the handwheel only towards you and learn how to properly install the needle and thread in the machine. Lubricate the machine regularly, no matter how often you use it, and keep the mechanism clean.
Step 2
Use a special household sewing machine oil to lubricate the machine. Clean the hook of the machine regularly. Explore the different types of seams that can be sewn on a sewing machine and apply them to the fabrics for which they are designed.
Step 3
To prepare the foot-operated machine for operation, open the cover of the machine, place the head on the hinges and secure the hinges with screws. Attach the visor to the platform with screws and washers, then close the valve and lower the machine head onto the valve.
Step 4
Pass the belt through the holes of the visor and support bar, connect it with a paper clip and thread into the flywheel and drive wheel. Shift the clipper to idle by turning the friction screw towards you and set the flywheel in motion by pressing down on the pedal. To switch the clipper back to work, turn the friction screw away from you.
Step 5
For high-quality and efficient work, you need to properly prepare the machine for the sewing process. To do this, set the thread take-up to its highest position by turning the handwheel, and insert the needle into the needle clamp as far as it will go, making sure that the flat side of the needle is toward the presser foot bar.
Step 6
Tighten the needle with the screw. Bring the thread take-up to its highest position, raise the presser foot and pull the bobbin pin all the way out. Place a spool of thread on it. Correctly thread the thread - from the spool, through the thread guide, pass it between the washers of the upper thread tension adjusters, pass it through the thread take-up hole, and then into the thread guide on the machine head and on the needle clamp.
Step 7
Thread the thread through the eye of the needle. Now thread the bobbin thread - open the lower compartment, remove the bobbin from the bobbin case, and wind the threads around the bobbin. Insert the bobbin back into the cap, pull the thread through the slit, and insert the bobbin into place until it clicks. Turn the handwheel toward you to draw out the bobbin thread. Place both threads under the foot so you can sew while holding and guiding the fabric.
