A knitted dress or sweater looks more elegant if it is made with a convex pattern. One of the most common patterns is "bumps".
It is necessary
- Medium Thick Wool Yarn
- Needles number 2 or 2, 5
Instructions
Step 1
Cast on the needles the required number of loops. Pull out one knitting needle and knit a row. Knit the next 3 rows in stockings, alternating the front and back rows.
Step 2
On the front row, knit 5 loops with the front ones. Then insert the working knitting needle into the next loop and pull the thread, but do not drop the loop, but make a yarn over. Pull the working thread through the same loop again, make another yarn over and pull the loop again. Drop the loop of the previous row. You have 5 extra loops. Continue to knit a row. Work 5 more loops and make a second bump. Work like this to the end of the row.
Step 3
Turn the work over and knit to the first "bump" with purl loops. "Extra" loops formed by pulling the thread and yarns in the previous row, knit together with a purl loop. Do the same with all the other "knobs." You should have the same number of loops on the knitting needles as at the beginning.
Step 4
Knit 2 rows of stocking knit and make "bumps" again, placing them between the already knitted "bumps".
