Ganutel is a very beautiful and sophisticated type of handicraft that originated on the island of Malta. Skillful hands can create whole works of art from a few pieces of wire and multi-colored threads.

Instructions
Step 1
Start with the petals. First, take any stiff base that is the right size, such as a wooden stick, and start wrapping it tightly with thin wire. When winding this spiral, mark the middle to make it easier to work with. When you wind the spring of the desired length, leave small tails, cut the wire and remove the spring from the base.
Step 2
Take a thick wire and cut a piece to the desired size. Put a spring on it, stretch it a little. The thicker the thread for wrapping, the more you need to stretch the thin wire. Then give the workpiece the desired shape: round or pointed, and twist the ends with pliers. It is better to sharpen the shape of the leaf, and make the petals round using any round base.
Step 3
Pick the color of the petals, take the matching thread and secure at the base of the wire circle. Start wrapping the workpiece along the diameter of the circle, try to do so that the thread clings to each coil of wire, otherwise there will be ugly holes in the petal. Wrap counterclockwise. Then reattach the thread at the base and cut off. In the same way, make another three or four petals, combine them into a flower.
Step 4
Use green thread to make leaves in the same way. Add to the flower, make stamens from wire and beads. The stem of the flower is tightly wrapped in several layers with green thread. Attach the flower to the base hair clip with glue or by tying it in with thread or wire. Give the flower the shape you want. If you wish, you can make one large flower and two smaller ones, forming a floral arrangement. In the same technique, you can make earrings or a pendant in addition to a hair clip.
