Figures and puzzles from matches are probably made by everyone at least once in their life - and many know how to make simple matchbox houses. At the same time, matches are a universal ornamental tool - they can be used to make a lot of various figures and simple sculptures. For example, from simple matches, you can make an original boat in a short period of time, without using glue and other devices, and in this article you will learn how to assemble it.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a few matchboxes - six to seven packs of matches will be enough for you to create a boat. You will also need a regular coin, wire cutters, or a cutter. Take a flat surface to work on, such as a book or CD box, and place two matches on top of it in parallel.
Step 2
The distance between the matches should be slightly less than their length. Lay eight matches perpendicularly on two parallel matches, forming a square base of the boat. Then, perpendicular to the first layer, apply another layer of eight matches stacked next to each other.
Step 3
Now start laying out a well from the matches, directing the heads of the matches to one side, placing the matches on top of each other in a circle. Having formed a well, make it a "roof" of six matches, laid perpendicular to the bottom row, and press the top layer with a coin.
Step 4
At the corners of the well, carefully insert four matches, heads up, pressing the coin with your finger. Then remove the coin from the figurine and squeeze the resulting cube to make it tighter and smoother. Turn the cube over and insert several vertical matches around its perimeter.
Step 5
Press down on five matches so that they protrude outward in the form of a ladder at the top of the house. Place three dense rows of matches between them. In the bottom row, place two matches with their heads in different directions, in the middle row - four matches, in the third row - six matches.
Step 6
Clamp the third row between the third and fourth raised top match. Insert seven more matches so that they are on the same level, parallel to the fourth match. Insert oblique matches between these matches. Squeeze the structure to resemble the sloping roof of a house.
Step 7
From the bottom row, take out seven matches and insert the same number of matches to strengthen the structure, so that the heads are looking directly at you. From above, stick nine matches into the structure, pressing the previous rows.
Step 8
You can strengthen the side of the boat with additional matches inserted in the fourth row from the bottom. Place another row of slanted matches and squeeze the shape again.
Step 9
Pull two matches out of the bow, but not all the way out, to form a ledge on the bow of the ship. Place two rows of four and two matches there. Now you just have to make a pipe out of nine matches inserted vertically into the roof and decorate the boat with cut-off match heads.
