From a boring sweater, you can make many different very useful and cozy things.
I have already described how to make a decorative pillowcase for a sofa cushion from an old sweater or cardigan. Today, let's look at not so useful, but cozy and original ideas.
1. Knitted vase from an old sweater
It is not at all necessary to knit a cover on a vase specially, from new threads. If your old sweater has sleeves in good condition, you can simply cut off the sleeve and decorate a vase or bottle with it.
when cutting off the sleeve, do not forget that the length of the part cut off for decoration must be greater than the height of the vase in order to bend the cut under the bottom and fix it there (glue it to the bottom of the vase or bottle or sew it neatly).
2. "Socks" on the legs of a chair or table
On sale you can find special "socks" that are designed for furniture. Manufacturers assume that furniture legs in such covers will not scratch the parquet floor. Such covers for furniture legs can be made independently from an old sweater. Just measure the circumference of the leg and cut rectangular pieces from any part of the sweater. Sew the covers on the side and bottom.
By the way, the sweater can be unraveled and such "socks" can be knitted from the threads obtained.
3. Cover-warmer for a cup from a sweater cuff
The thick fabric cup cover is supposed to keep the drink warm. You can make this overlay from the cuff of a sweater - just cut off the cuff and hem the cut off.
