Despite the fact that beavers sometimes give people a lot of trouble, setting up dams in the most inappropriate places, they usually portray them as cheerful and cute. It seems that the fluffy fat animal always smiles, because several long teeth stick out from its open mouth.
Inhabitant of streams and rivers
The most typical occupation for a beaver is to build dams. He gnaws branches, and sometimes thick trunks, so it is best to portray the animal for this particular activity. Put the sheet as you like. Start the phased drawing with a straight line. Draw it in any direction, thus marking the position of the log. Draw a second line parallel to the first. It is better if the segments are curved, since the tree trunk always has slight irregularities.
Cross-sections of the log do not need to be drawn. If you still want to do this, depict the slice in the form of a circle or an oval.
Circle and two ovals
The figurine of any animal can be divided into several parts that resemble different geometric shapes. For example, the body of a beaver consists of a circle and two ovals. A circle is a torso with a bent back, front and hind legs. Draw a circle so that one of its points is just above the log.
Draw an oval to the top of the circle - its long axis is approximately half the diameter of the circle. Draw a long, narrow oval at the bottom of the circle. The long axes of both ovals are approximately the same.
It is convenient to sketch with a well-sharpened hard pencil. Try not to use the eraser, all unsuccessful lines can be masked with shading.
Paws, head, eyes and ears
The body of the beaver is still not quite round. At some distance from the part of the circle that is closer to the log, draw an arc. Draw a straight line between the torso and the head - the back of the head. From this line towards the log draw another oval - a paw. It ends with sharp claws gripping a log.
The lower limbs are almost invisible, only claws peep out from under the body. When the beaver sits in profile to the viewer, only one eye is visible - a large oval. Beaver ears are also oval in shape. A tooth is just two straight stripes. Draw a long tail with a shovel.
Wool
The beaver has a solid brown color. If you have colored pencils handy, you can paint the wool immediately brown. A simple pencil should be taken another, softer than the one with which you drew the outlines. In the drawing with a simple pencil, this is not visible, you just need to show that the animal is fluffy.
Draw the hairs - long straight strokes. On the head, they diverge from the eye in all directions. On the body, the strokes go in slightly diverging lines from the neck to the contours and even go beyond the lines in some places. Draw a round pupil and nose, and outline a rather long mustache.
