Summer is undoubtedly the main time of the year for recreation and entertainment. On the part of film producers, the launch of major blockbusters during this period became almost a law. And 2012 was no exception to the rule, providing entertainment for the audience for every taste.
The season opens on May 31, "Prometheus" - the main space thriller of the last five years. Ridley Scott, author of the original Alien, has filmed a brutal and realistic story of humanity's journey to cold and far from friendly stars. All fans of the genre and even more so the renowned director should definitely watch the film.
As if winning "in contrast" a week later, at the beginning of June, "Madagascar 3" was released, a sequel to one of the most successful animated series of our time. This time, the friendly four of heroes are brought into a traveling circus, which guarantees a huge scale, tons of good humor and a truly bright, colorful show. Watch, of course, with the whole family.
Fast forward another 7 days, the viewer will encounter "Snow White and the Huntsman": a modern interpretation of a classic fairy tale. The interpretation this time is closer to the original, dark medieval version - the color scheme abounds in gray, there are many of the most sophisticated monsters in the frame, and Chris Hemsworth (recent "Thor") plays the role of a knight on a white horse, bravely protecting a young maiden. Critics are expecting something like Van Helsing or The Brothers Grimm, so all fans of these films should be interested.
Since June 21, all the same Van Helsing fans can go to Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. You can close your eyes to the absurd name, because the picture is an adaptation of a very successful American comic book, and therefore no one claims to be historical. Another important thing is that our compatriot, renowned author of "Dozorov" and "Especially Dangerous", Timur Bekmambetov, shot the tape. It is curious to look at the work of domestic craftsmen using Western resources.
The month closes with the last major premiere in the face of "Braveheart" - a new cartoon from Pixar, which tells that not every girl wants (and can) become a princess. As always, the studio offers not only an amazing adventure, but also some semantic load - far from, of course, Fellini's films, but very correct and easy for children's minds.
