While there is not much time left, it is worth preparing and thinking about the bait that our future prey will be caught with. Therefore, let me share with you a few secrets and rules on how to properly breed bloodworms at home.

Step 1
Prepare the container. Make sure that the capacity of the canister or can is at least 70 liters, otherwise the procedure will be ineffective. Choose a location where the container is well lit. It should not be closed, it is best that it be transparent and easily let in sunlight. If it is not realistic to create such conditions, do everything possible to get as much light as possible on the tank.
Step 2
Fill the canister with water and expose to light. At this stage, you do not have to worry about it, and deal with the preparations for collection. Go to any pet store and get a net for fishing. Also, buy a few bags to store the bloodworms you collected or a food container that you can put in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Check your crop after about a week after you filled in the water. Add water if necessary and remove accumulated dirt and debris from the surface. By the way, keep in mind that it is best to keep your container tightly away from the living area. Mosquitoes will start attacking your apartment in five to ten days.
Step 4
Cover your aquarium with something, otherwise your crop will be pecked by intruders, check from time to time so that no one encroached on it. With a good freeze, the bloodworm will retain its attractiveness for another five to six weeks after harvesting, which allows you to make a large harvest and go "into the gap" with a half kilo of bloodworms. Do not forget to add water and keep it clean, and your harvest is guaranteed!
