Step 1
Prepare five knitting needles. The size of the knitting needle is indicated on the eyelet. The number indicated on the spoke is equal to its diameter. It should match the size of the thread for knitting mittens. Most often, the size of the knitting needles that are recommended for knitting this yarn is indicated on a skein of wool or yarn.
Step 2
Place the cast-on stitches evenly on the four knitting needles. The fifth spoke must remain free - it is working, it is intended to alternately change the other four. The number of loops dialed varies depending on the desired dimensions of the future finished product.
Step 3
Knit a mitten using the circular knit method. Please note that when knitting in a circular knit, the front loops are always tied behind the top walls.
Step 4
Start knitting your garment from the cuff. The circumference of the cuff of the future mitten should be equal to the circumference of the hand of the person who will subsequently wear the finished product.
Step 5
Knit the cuff with a regular elastic band using the 1x1 or 2x2 pattern.
Step 6
Leave a hole for the thumb and continue knitting in a circle to the height of the little finger.
Step 7
Begin to lower the loops on the pinky side as soon as you knit the mitten to the required height. Next, knit to middle finger height. And having knitted this height, subtract the loops from the middle finger to the thumb.
Step 8
Knit your thumb when the entire mitten is done.
Step 9
Iron the finished product. Be careful to avoid getting the hot iron on the cuffs of the mittens.
