Anatoly Barbakaru was born in 1959. He spent his childhood and youth in the Moldavian city of Bender. After graduating from school, the graduate decided to get a higher education at the Odessa Institute of Technology. Every day he watched the heads of factories, shop assistants, "golden youth" come here to rest. Especially in the summer, the game of cards flourished on the beaches, with wealthy holidaymakers spending huge sums of money on local professional gamblers. Anatoly began to observe them, and soon he himself became involved in the game.

When a young student sat down to play preference at the same table with eminent "katals", this did not arouse any concern or interest in anyone. But it soon turned out that he had a real gift for the game, he won on a par with experienced players, and sometimes even surpassed them. In addition to sports, Anatoly became interested in creativity and worked on the stage of the acting studio for two years. The ability to reincarnate and acting helped him a lot in the card game. In addition, the young man was a good psychologist and saw through and through the person sitting opposite him. Barbakaru devoted ten years of his youth to the card game and became the best among Odessa cheats. His life was full of adventures. He spent two years behind bars, for some time was treated in a psychiatric hospital and was put on the all-Union wanted list. New life
By the age of thirty, Barbakar was known throughout the country. Upon learning that a rich guild-man Prince was going to come to Odessa, whom the sharper had once won, he decided to repeat his success at all costs. To do this, he even turned to a plastic surgeon and changed his appearance: he shortened his nose, widened his nostrils and pumped in so much gel that it became wide beyond recognition. The guest never came to the south, and the operation made it possible for the player to completely change his life. Moreover, the 90s had come and Anatoly could enjoy the long-awaited freedom. Colleagues and ex-girlfriends did not recognize the new face - there was a completely different person in front of them. This was the perfect excuse to end his career as a card sharper.
Anatoly Barbakaru decided to try his hand at television and began with a leading crime chronicle, but soon created his own program. Today, he has many author's projects and rating shows. One of them took place on the Ukrainian channel ISTV and was called "Gentlemen at the Dacha". All of its members are former prisoners seeking to start a new life. Barbakaru is a frequent guest today as an expert on the popular shows of Channel One and TNT.
The journalist tried his hand at a solo musical career and released in 2003 the collection "Notes of a Sharpie. 15 Years". His songs in the style of chanson found their listeners, the musician became a winner of many festivals of author's song.
Barbacara made a significant contribution to the cinema. He co-authored the film "Maestro", the series "Sharpie" is completely filmed according to his script, and in the main character of the film you can recognize the young Anatoly. In his filmography there are also several acting works.
Personal life
Anatoly was officially married five times. Only the last marriage turned out to be strong. His wife Olga, a psychologist by education, thanks to her feminine wisdom, keeps the family for many years. The couple have two sons, Dmitry and Alexander. They look like their father in tall stature and a passion for sports. Barbacaru has a son from his first marriage, who was less fortunate with his father's love than the other two. Anatoly was able to truly start a new life, in which there is no place for scams. He is surrounded by intelligent and creative people. He himself became interested in philosophy, and considers sincerity and the ability to trust people to be the main qualities.
